Person-Centred
Counselling
About me and my therapy practice
I have been counselling since 2007, offering Person-Centred counselling for adults and young people starting from the age of 11, to manage some of the stresses and strains that occur in everyday life. I am an 'integrative' counsellor, however my core practice is in Person-Centred therapy which puts the client at the centre of the counselling process. I can offer you a safe and private environment to share your feelings without any expectations or judgements.
As well as bringing empathy, respect and honesty to our sessions, I also offer a vast amount of personal knowledge and experience in the shape of 15+ years of counselling (including bereavement, anxiety and depression), being a foster carer for 15 years and having a Masters Degree in Social Work, as well as raising my own 4 children.
I passionately believe that nature and the outdoors can have a vastly positive effect on our mental wellbeing. So can also offer 'walk & talk' therapy, which can be more comfortable for some people as opposed to sitting together face to face. I also provide counselling via video call, telephone or face to face in Flore, Northants.
